30th Anniversary Fundraising Walk

In celebration of the 30th anniversary of Akshaya Kshetram, we are hosting a charity walk arriving at our founder’s doorstep on Founders’ Day 2nd October 2026!

One Month, One Journey, One Purpose

We invite our supporters around the world to walk, jog, or run during September and collectively cover the distance from Oxford, UK - the current home of the founders’ family and the symbolic home of our diaspora supporters - to Tirupati, India: approximately 5,085 miles or 8,183 km!

We welcome everyone to join - indviduals and groups, any age and ability. Walk or run any route, any time, any distance.

Why We Walk

We are walking to raise awareness for mental health issues. The funds raised through this walk will support our residents’ therapies, medical care, and daily activities. This walk will also strengthen our AK community, inspiring each other and raising awareness of our work. With your help, we can ensure Akshaya Kshetram endures to provide love and support to our residents for the next 30 years!

How It Works

Register, pledge a donation amount and log your distance from 1st September to 2nd October (Founders Day!). After 2nd October dontate based on your distance logged.

Step 1: Register

Register your participation using our registration form. We will use this to stay in touch with you for the duration of the walk.

Step 2: Log Your Steps

Log your steps, miles or KMs automatically via Strava, or upload your walk stats into our tracker below. Every ones contribution counts towards our total.

Step 3: Donate

Our goal is to raise awareness and to get people out and active! Donate after 2nd October based on your distance or any amount you would like.

Register and Join the Strava Club

Please complete the one-time registration so we can keep in touch with you. This is only for the duration of the walk.

Sign up via our Strava Club to log your walk or run alongside the community. Strava is an (optional) automated way to collect your walk progress, it integrates with smart watches and many health apps.

Manually Submit Your Progress

This form will collect your distance if you do not wish to use Strava. We will send a weekly reminder to track progress.

Progress tracking opens 1st September 2026

The walk starts on 1st September - once it begins you'll be able to submit your manual distances here. Check back then!
